The IRCC strengthens Leeds University’s status as one of the major centres for research and teaching on China in the United Kingdom. The aim of IRCC is of facilitating research and research cooperation on Contemporary China within the University of Leeds. Current research focuses on China’s economy, development, and international business relations.

The James E Lynch India & South Asia Business aims to increase knowledge and understanding of international business and management in India and South Asia and to facilitate exchange of knowledge and understanding of business between the academic and corporate worlds. The India Centre generates and disseminates high quality research and specialised knowledge to businesses on the Indian economy.  The Centre also produces a Watching-India series of market research briefings on key sectors of the Indian economy (manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, retail, IT).
