CIBUL offers training and consultancy in international business specialising in questions relating to the strategy of the multinational firm, foreign direct investment, intellectual property, licensing and knowledge management. CIBUL has special regional interests in India and China and has a Centre for Chinese Business & Development, Institute on Contemporary China and the James E Lynch India and South Asia Business Centre

Centre for Chinese Business & Development (CCBD)
The Centre for Chinese Business and Development offers to companies a number of services in relation to business and management in China, including language training, executive briefings, bespoke training courses and consultancy work, as well as a student placement scheme which places Masters students in China to work with companies on short (6-8 week) projects

Institute for Research on Contemporary China (IRCC)
The Institute for Research on Contemporary China brings together research expertise from the Centre for International Business at Leeds University Business School (CIBUL) and the Department for East Asian Studies. The IRCC strengthens Leeds University’s status as one of the major centres for research and teaching on China in the United Kingdom. The aim of IRCC is of facilitating research and research cooperation on Contemporary China within the University of Leeds. Current research focuses on China’s economy, development, and international business relations.

James E Lynch India & South Asia Business Centre
The James E Lynch India & South Asia Business aims to increase knowledge and understanding of international business and management in India and South Asia and to facilitate exchange of knowledge and understanding of business between the academic and corporate worlds. The India Centre generates and disseminates high quality research and specialised knowledge to businesses on the Indian economy.  The Centre also produces a Watching-India series of market research briefings on key sectors of the Indian economy (manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, retail, IT).
