Businesses wishing to compete more effectively in the US market may want to consider taking part in the US Marketing Scholarship Programme.
The programme, organised and supported by the North America unit of UK Trade & Investment and the British Consulate General in Chicago, offers UK marketing executives the chance to attend the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Evanston, Illinois and undertake a short business attachment.
The Scholarship is an intensive five-day course designed to present the latest management theories and case studies, with the help of world-renowned lecturers. This is followed by an executive attachment to a US company to see the marketing process in action, having studied the theory.
The aim of the Scholarship is to ensure that UK small and medium-size companies (SMEs) and their managers understand the importance of effective marketing in the US. It identifies the issues that must be considered and the actions which must be taken to develop an effective relationship with the market.

The Scholarships are aimed at senior managers/ board members in established small to medium-sized UK-owned companies which have a record of at least three years trading in their sector.
