Freight forwarding guide published

The international freight market has changed remarkably in recent years, with a huge variety of transport providers to meet the needs of international trading companies which conduct business on a worldwide basis.

Freight forwarders have become more sophisticated with a greater awareness of their customers’ needs. They have recognised that international transport solutions are developed in partnership with customers, not in isolation from them. The forwarding industry operates at all levels in the transport chain, providing a service to all types and sizes of companies.

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) – the primary body representing the UK international freight services industry – has produced an introductory guide to logistics, which can be downloaded below.
