UK-India Business Awards - entries invited

UK and Indian companies are invited to submit nominations to the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) India Business Awards.

Launched in October 2005 by Prime Minister Tony Blair, the awards acknowledge and celebrate the successful business partnerships between India and the UK.

Nominations are invited in the following categories:

Investor of the Year
For Indian companies which have successfully set up in the UK.

Business Partnership Award
For successful Indian and UK business partnership in the UK or India.

Innovation Award
UK company which has successfully launched a new product or services in the Indian market.

New Market Entrant
SME company demonstrating start-up success in the UK or India.

Business Person of the Year
Indian or UK businessperson who has contributed significantly to India-UK business relations.

Entrepreneur of the Year
An Indian entrepreneur successful in the UK.

Successful Listing Award
An Indian company successfully listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The judging panel with also identify a company or individual for the UK Trade & Investment Special Recognition Award.

The closing date for nominations is 20 July 2007.

The winners will be announced at a televised awards dinner and ceremony at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai on 27 September 2007. A conference – UK-India: Partners in Globalisation – will take place on the same day. This will feature global speakers and attract an audience of over 300 business leaders.
