Russia expert to present at business seminar

An expert in conducting business with Russia will present a half-day seminar for regional businesses at the University of Huddersfield.

Dr Rachel Farmer has 30 years of experience of training experience, has written three Russian language training books and has a wealth of business and management experience.

The seminar – Doing Business in Russia – is aimed at anyone considering or already doing business in Russia. It will provide delegates with a toolkit of knowledge and skills to help them get the most out of every business opportunity. The seminar will be based on practical examples, with active participation and the chance to learn a few essential Russian phrases.

The seminar will take place on 18 April 2008 and will include:

• Background to Russia: country, environment, climate, history
• Values and attitudes
• Business culture and etiquette
• Meetings and negotiations
• Steps to effective communication
• Russian language
• Future challenges and opportunities
• Sources of support and advice

 

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The participation fee is £70 (excluding VAT) per delegate.
